Last Wednesday we put Domi on a plane back to Switzerland just in time to pack for China!.

NOW, we are packed, we have a folder full of details on feeding dogs, cats and fish.  Instructions on trash day and tennis lessons.  We have the papers for Eli's adoption filed, double checked and secure in the carryon bag.  We are surprizingly calm and at peace.  All your prayers must be working. 

I wish all the kids could come with us, it's hard to leave them for so long!  Our next post should be from  CHINA!

July 4th

Is that a fun day to depart for China to bring Eli home or what?! We will spend a few days in Beijing before heading to Wuhan. The jet lag is no fun those first few days so we are glad to have a little time to adjust to the time change before we start the biggest adjustment! This journey began quietly, a year ago... It's getting louder....let the fireworks begin!

TRAVEL APPROVAL TODAY!!!

We are very excited that we have received our travel approval and are just days away from buying our tickets to China:)  We anticipate we will be leaving July 4-6.  We pray Eli is as ready as we are for this big change in all of our lives.  We know this will be much harder for him than us, wish us patience, grace, wisdom and more patience!

GiRlS oN ThE RuN

Team Colbry ran 5K today without stopping! Way to go Lian, Grant and Hillary!!  It was fun for us too, the 5k route went right by our house, so we had the sprinklers going and the tunes blasting as they ran by!

So exciting to receive pictures of Eli in our email today!  He has opened the care package we sent to him and some kind soul took pictures for us!  This may be his foster family, bless them.  This may be his foster home, and foster brother and sister.  We are overjoyed to see him and getting so excited to make the journey.  Look at that Grand Haven T-shirt!  OK, it's a little big, but it warms our heart to see him wearing it, it will soon be his home. He will soon be here, we will be his permanent family, who doesn't need that?

Lian is in "Girls on the Run" They did a food drive as a service project.  On Saturday she will run her first 5K.  Grant and Hillary are going to run with her, how sweet is that?! So Grandma's and Grandpa's, come on down by 10 am Saturday.  They will actually run right by our house:D
